Patented Nitroil Control System Solves Severe Crushing Problems

Belleville, IL (February 21, 2007) -- Gundlach’s patented Nitroil Control System solves two of the toughest problems encountered in severe crushing applications. First, the Gundlach Nitroil System prevents damage when tramp or uncrushable material enters the crusher. Second, the Nitroil System enables the equipment to withstand the greater forces required when material being crushed requires high compressive forces. An added benefit is the ability to adjust the roll gap (product size) while the crusher is running.

How Nitroil Works to Control 2 Big Crusher Problems

A measured amount of oil is pumped to the rod side of adjustment cylinders providing roll gap adjustment on upper or lower stages to control product size. Inert gas pressure is applied to the cap side of the cylinders creating a gas spring. Only enough pressure is applied to hold the adjustable roll in place to crush the material.  You can adjust pressure from 100 PSI to 1,000 PSI.

When foreign material enters the rolls, the adjustable roll kicks back by compressing the gas to allow the foreign material to pass and then returns the roll to its original setting. Time for this movement to open and return is a fraction of a second.

The Gundlach Nitroil System reduces vibration and wear on the gearbox and prevents screw/nut adjustment freeze-up. The Nitroil System offers up to 5" roll relief for passing foreign material.
